ICT enablement
There remain a general belief that technology can and will bring instant relief for many organisational problems. Stated more accurately information systems technically focus upon data acceleration (faster delivery of information). Although technological enablement does introduce incredible efficiencies, it may often result in heavy losses from a systemic perspective. Within our Business Architecture Tool (BAT®), technology represents one major component or sub-system, but only as far as it support and lend itself to enhancing the overall result (emergence, meaning 1+1 >2). As an example, few organisations understand that introducing new technology impacts both people and process to the extent that it may sometimes generate a negative overall effect. Our approach is very simple, we remain OEM agnostic since alliances to software vendors often result in promoting technology, simply to extract greater revenues from clients. As an organisation we do not sell technology product, instead we use appropriate technological enablement, based upon project and client specific constraints. Some of our key capabilities in the information technology environment include:
